There is an archeological museum which is really interesting, opposite this
museum is a Hellenistic Roman Quarter where there is a well preserved street
layout. The car park is large and there is a restaurant/bar and the usual
souvenir stands.
An excellent place to take some photos!
There
are claims that Agrigento was founded by Daedalus, the father of Icarus
although the city has been changed a lot. There is a medieval section to
the city off the Via Atenea.
