This
town is found at an altitude of 700 metres. It is one of the nearest towns
to the top of the volcano. If you enjoy
excursions, hiking, bird watching or horse riding then this is a good town

Randazzo is steeped in history and dates from Roman times and it is interesting to walk around the local streets. It was once a fortress town and a popular place in medieval times. There is also a collection to show the famous Sicilian Fighting Puppets in the Paolo Vagliasindi Archeological Museum. There are two other museums here. One is the Civic Natural Science Museum and the other is The Farm Tool Collection.
Randazzo
has many festivals throughout the year including the Medieval Festival in
July where there is a re enactment of the story of Bianca di Navarra 1411
concerts, and medieval feasts.
