The main town of Taormina is a short 200m walk away where Italians like to promenade late into the evening, sitting outside the chic cafes and restaurants particularly during the local and international festivals that are frequently staged. For the strong willed why not browse the Italian fashion shops in Taormina or for the weak willed just go inside and spend! The beautiful local beaches at Isola La Bella and Mazzaro can be accessed by the cable car, bus or if you are more adventurous, by walking down some lovely winding steps opposite the apartment.

For those wishing to explore by foot or bicycle there are some wonderful forest trails on the mountain with spectacular views of the coast and volcano.
