San Matteo Farm has two villas and one apartment connected to each other and located on an organic working farm on the slopes of Mt. Etna close to the town of Macchia.The farmer is keen to introduce visitors to organic food and there is a vegatable garden just for visitors in the gardens surrounding the building.

Casa Feijoa is on the gound floor and is a small apartment that can sleep up to three people but is really only suitable for a couple or a small family and has been designed with disabled facilities in mind. There is a comfortable double bed settee in addition to the double bed. A large ensuite shower room is located at the end of the room, again this has been fully designed for ease of use for disabled visitors.

There is no private kitchen in this apartment but there is a large shared area where the owner prepares breakfast. Here is a well equipped kitchen with oven, hob and fridge. You can meet other guests at the long Sicilian table and prepare your own meals and you can choose some of the organic produce available. A single door leads to a terrace that has views of Mount Etna.

Places to visit within easy reach include Taormina, Catania and Syracuse. The local area has many attractions, vineyards to visit, historical Roman and Greek sites, there are even tours to see where the famous Godfather film was made. Winter skiing is popular. There are many places for those who enjoy walking and cycling. There is a vast choice of excellent beaches nearby. Car hire is a must.

In the garden area there is a beautiful covered seating area with swimming pool for use by the three properties.
