The town is linked with Riposto an international port with a superb new marina development, which has daily boat hire for the adventurous. Nearby Taormina is Sicily’s most picturesque town and best known resort. It is spectacularly located on a terrace of Mount Tauro, dominating the sea and with views westwards to Mount Etna, it is a favourite playground of the European jet set and hosts a celebrated international film festival in June each year which attracts some top Hollywood actors.
